Traditional towns and tourist resorts

The island of Zakynthos is very large to visit and each area is very different from the others.
The north area of the island is still wild and there are some traditional villages among which Volimes is the biggest; while the south is more developed as tourist resorts have been born in order to meet the tourist demand of accommodation, restaurants, pubs and entertainment.
The larger resorts on Zante island are: Tsilivi, Laganas, Kalamaki, Argassi, Alykes and Alikanas.
Then there are places with a tourist part and a traditional one like: Vassilikos, which is more an area than a town, and Keri with its seaside village called Limni Keri.
Do not forget Zakynthos town, the island's capital, which can be considered more a large town than a city.
